Kentico Xperience 13 documentation and ASP.NET Core

Most documentation about running Xperience applications under ASP.NET Core can be found in a dedicated section: Developing Xperience applications using ASP.NET Core. The rest of the documentation still applies, but some code samples and scenarios might need slight modifications for Core projects.

All major differences between the MVC 5 and Core platforms are summarized in Migrating to ASP.NET Core.

The Forms application enables content editors to create and publish on-line forms. Forms allow you to gather structured data from your site's visitors. A typical example can be a 'Contact Us' form or a form in which visitors provide some necessary data to attain a specific goal.

The information provided via forms can be used to update the contacts that represent your website's visitors. For example, forms can be a way for visitors to provide email addresses that you can then use to send marketing emails (for visitors who give the required consent).
