Content rating

Content rating features allow live site visitors to rate any page on your website. You can let users express their opinion about the quality of content, for example. Content rating features have no dedicated user interface. You can see the overall rating of each page in the Pages application when you navigate to the Properties -> General tab of a page and look at the Rating field.

One way of enabling content rating is by placing the Content rating web part on a page. See Using the Content rating web part.

You can also include a rating control in transformations to enable users to rate each transformed item. See Displaying content rating in transformations.

The content rating functionality is integrated in web parts belonging to the Message boards application. This enables live site visitors to submit a rating along with a comment posted to the message board. See Using content rating in message boards.

The Content rating web part requires the default Kentico CSS stylesheet, ~/App_Themes/Global/Skin.css, to work correctly. If not present, you can, for example, load the stylesheet by using the @import directive.
