Kentico Xperience 13 documentation and ASP.NET Core

Most documentation about running Xperience applications under ASP.NET Core can be found in a dedicated section: Developing Xperience applications using ASP.NET Core. The rest of the documentation still applies, but some code samples and scenarios might need slight modifications for Core projects.

All major differences between the MVC 5 and Core platforms are summarized in Migrating to ASP.NET Core.

Integrating SharePoint

Xperience allows you to access data stored on a SharePoint Online server, and display it on your website. You can achieve this by configuring a SharePoint integration connection, retrieving data, and allowing live site visitors to view images and download files.

Besides, using the dedicated SharePoint application, you can access and manage SharePoint libraries directly from the Xperience administration interface.

Notes

  • Only SharePoint Online integration is supported by the Xperience system.
  • SharePoint integration is unsupported for ASP.NET Core sites.
